10.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 3rd Apr 2006

People over 60 and those with disabilities can now get FREE bus travel after 9:30 am on weekdays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. They will be able to travel across Cheshire and into neighbouring areas. Chester residents with a bus pass can also travel free on the Park and Ride buses. Half fare will be payable before 9:30 am.

If you already have a bus pass you can continue to use it. If you want to get one they are available from the City Council at the Forum offices or you can ring 402148. You can get further information about the scheme and bus times by ringing 602666 between 8am and 8pm.

The scheme is partly funded by the government with a £100,000 contribution from the City Council.
