Ann Farrell

Biography:Ann was born in London and grew up in Essex. She studied physics at Bristol University and then worked as a research scientist for the Central Electricity Generating Board. She later trained as a science teacher. Ann moved to Boughton Heath in 1976. She and husband Donal brought up their four children in Dee Banks. All the children went to local schools but left home to go to college/university and now live away from Chester. During this time Ann taught at Upton High School. Ann was elected to Great Boughton Parish Council in 1977 and later to Chester City Council in 1983. She is a regular editor of the Focus newsletter which is now approaching its 200th edition and is distributed free to all houses in Boughton Heath. Ann now has a position on the City Council's Cabinet and is responsible for Culture.
